FLATHEAD VALLEY REENTRY CENTER

KALISPELL, MT.

The new Flathead Valley Reentry Center (FVRC) plays an integral role in shaping the way we deliver structure and accountability while supporting success for residents returning to their community at this first-ever, DOC-owned and operated prerelease center. The Community Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations and resident services at the Flathead Valley Reentry Center. This position is responsible for coordinating and providing transportation for residents, ensuring accountability, and assisting with facility operations to promote a safe, structured, and supportive reentry environment.

Provide daily transportation for residents to and from employment sites, medical appointments, and other program-approved services.

  • Conduct wellness and accountability checks on residents at their places of employment as required.

  • Monitor and manage resident check-ins and check-outs in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

  • Perform routine room searches to ensure compliance with facility standards.

  • Answer and appropriately route incoming phone calls.

  • Staff and manage the front desk, maintaining a professional and secure reception area.

  • Assist with general facility operations and perform other duties as assigned to support program objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

  • High School diploma or equivalency required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
