Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating the successful day-to-day functioning of key compliance activities within the entities. Duties include performing job-related functions at three kinds of facilities. Work with organizational leadership to ensure appropriate knowledge, understanding, and application of all relevant regulatory requirements. Assist with the development and monitoring of an effective compliance plan.
Essential Functions
- Collaboration and support are provided to executive, operational, and medical staff leadership to implement an effective compliance program.
- Compliance education and awareness programs are organized for physicians and staff related to mandatory and/or targeted education in policies and regulatory requirements.
- New Employee Orientation is presented at the facilities in coordination with Human Resources and the site Directors of Quality & Compliance.
- Regulatory risk audits are performed, findings summarized, and reports developed for a variety of risk areas per established guidelines.
- Audit and Compliance Reports are created on a quarterly basis.
- Specific policies and procedure development assistance are provided to meet established goals.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a healthcare or regulatory environment with demonstrated effectiveness in organizing and coordinating a detailed portfolio of activities required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Regulatory research skills, knowledge of health care operational issues, reimbursement, and legal issues.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, working with a broad population.
Work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
High level of service delivery.
Demonstrate initiative with an ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
Working Schedule:
- Hybrid, minimum of 2 days/week on site. Primary location at Spaulding Rehab Hospital. Travel to other Spaulding locations is occasionally required.
