Compliance & Safety Analyst III

Hybrid Remote - DE, MD, PA, OH, VA, NC, GA, FL

Travel as necessary for onsite meetings in FL, DE, & OH

Your role in our success:

The Compliance & Safety Analyst III serves as a recognized subject matter expert in regulatory compliance reporting, operational analytics, and SAP-enabled compliance management processes. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving compliance reporting solutions, data governance practices, and operational analytics that support regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, operational effectiveness, and strategic decision-making.

The position independently evaluates complex compliance, operational, and data-related issues; identifies emerging risks and trends; and delivers actionable insights and recommendations to support business objectives and regulatory readiness. The Compliance & Safety Analyst serves as a trusted advisor and consultative partner to Operations, Compliance, IT, and leadership teams, leading cross-functional initiatives that enhance compliance performance, improve business processes, strengthen data integrity, and promote continuous improvement across operating divisions.

What you'll be working on:

  • Designs, develops, and serves as the enterprise owner of SAP-based compliance reporting solutions, dashboards, metrics, and analytics that support regulatory compliance, operational performance, risk mitigation, and business decision-making.
  • Evaluates compliance performance, operational activities, inspection outcomes, and emerging trends to identify systemic risks, recommend corrective actions, and influence compliance and operational strategies.
  • Leads enterprise and cross-functional initiatives focused on compliance reporting, data governance, system enhancements, and business process improvements, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Independently evaluates business processes and operating practices, challenges existing methodologies, and develops recommendations that improve compliance performance, operational effectiveness, data quality, and organizational efficiency.
  • Acts as the primary business advisor and liaison between Operations, Compliance, IT, and SAP support teams, influencing priorities, resolving complex business and system issues, and driving optimization of compliance-related processes and technologies.
  • Establishes, maintains, and continuously enhances compliance reporting standards, governance frameworks, and business process documentation to support consistency, regulatory readiness, and sustainable operational practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, GIS, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Safety Management, or related field Required.
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience supporting SAP business processes, reporting, analytics, compliance tracking, asset management, utility operations, or related business systems.  Working knowledge of PHMSA 49 CFR Part 192 requirements, including compliance tracking, reporting, recordkeeping, inspections, or audit support, is required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of hands-on SAP experience, including configuration support, reporting, data management, testing, troubleshooting, and end-user support required.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, metrics, and data visualizations using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience working with asset management, work management, compliance, or operational business processes.
  • Valid drivers' license
