Role summary

We are seeking a Compliance & Data Quality Specialist to serve as the dedicated wireless resource aligned to the Client's Data Quality (DQ) and Risk and Controls Centers of Excellence (CoEs). You will ensure that wireless asset, configuration, and operational data is accurate and trusted, and that the Wi-Fi estate meets the Client's control, risk, and compliance requirements. The role acts as the bridge between the wireless delivery teams and the CoEs, translating CoE standards into wireless-specific practices and evidencing compliance.

Key responsibilities:

Alignment with DQ and Risk and Controls CoEs

  • Act as the named wireless representative to the DQ and Risk and Controls CoEs, attending governance forums and working groups.
  • Translate CoE policies, standards, and control frameworks into wireless-specific requirements and procedures.
  • Coordinate CoE requests, audits, and assessments with operations, engineering, and telemetry teams.
  • Report wireless data quality and control status to CoE leads and Client stakeholders on an agreed cadence.

Data quality management

  • Define data quality rules and metrics for wireless data, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and uniqueness.
  • Maintain the integrity of wireless inventory and configuration data across the CMDB, asset registers, management platforms, and monitoring tools (AP and controller records, locations, models, firmware, ownership).
  • Run regular data quality checks and reconciliations between sources, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring data issues and drive process or tooling fixes.
  • Maintain data dictionaries, metric definitions, and data lineage documentation.
  • Work with the telemetry team to validate that dashboards and health scores rest on reliable data.

Risk and controls

  • Maintain the wireless risk register and control library, mapping controls to the wireless environment.
  • Perform control testing and self-assessments, including configuration baselines, access management, change control, firmware currency, and wireless security settings (WPA3, 802.1X, guest and IoT segmentation, rogue AP detection).
  • Collect, review, and retain audit evidence, and support internal, external, and regulatory audits.
  • Track control exceptions, findings, and remediation actions through to closure.
  • Assess risks from end-of-life hardware, unsupported firmware, and non-standard configurations, and recommend mitigation.

Compliance monitoring

  • Monitor adherence to security policy, regulatory requirements, and design standards across regions and sites.
  • Identify configuration drift and non-compliance, and coordinate remediation with operations and engineering.
  • Support change and release governance by verifying compliance checks before and after changes.
  • Track vendor and licensing compliance, and lifecycle and support status.
  • Support privacy and data protection requirements for collected wireless data, including retention and access controls.

Reporting and continuous improvement

  • Produce compliance, risk, and data quality scorecards by region and site.
  • Highlight trends, systemic issues, and high-risk areas with recommended actions.
  • Contribute to the design standards assessment and operational runbooks with compliance and data quality requirements.
  • Promote awareness of data quality and control responsibilities across wireless teams.
