Job Description

Job Purpose

Supports Grace Health's compliance program while ensuring the integrity, security, and appropriate use of patient health information. This role combines compliance coordination, regulatory support, and responsibilities related to organizing, releasing, managing, and maintaining patient health information. We offer a great benefits package, and many other perks, including no nights or weekend work

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support compliance activities, including audits, monitoring, investigations, and reporting aligned with the organization's compliance work plan
  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to compliance performance and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a resource for HIPAA, privacy, and regulatory questions; assist with investigations, documentation, and breach reporting
  • Develop and deliver education and training on compliance, privacy, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and ensure organizational adherence
  • Manage, organize, and maintain patient health records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accessibility
  • Process, scan, index, and route medical and dental records in accordance with established procedures
  • Coordinate the release of patient information in compliance with legal and organizational requirements
  • Respond to requests from patients, staff, and external entities (e.g., audits, legal requests, subpoenas)
  • Ensure all activities related to patient information strictly adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards
