Job Description
About TCC
The CAM Collective ("TCC") is a national network of independently operated community management companies. We help local firms grow and modernize without losing what makes them unique. We're a small, high-growth team.
The Role
TCC operates 20+ Member Companies across multiple states. The Compliance Coordinator owns business registrations, payroll registrations, licenses, and related filings across that footprint — plus the day-to-day operational and financial coordination that keeps the business running. You'll work directly with Kelly Franco (Director of People) and partner closely with Finance, M&A, and Member Company leaders.
What You'll Do
- Own business and payroll registrations across TCC entities and Member Companies — new registrations, renewals, amendments, and closures
- Maintain a master compliance calendar tracking deadlines, audits, and filings across every state where TCC operates
- Research state-specific requirements and turn ambiguous agency guidance into clear, documented next steps
- Maintain audit-ready records: confirmations, account numbers, agency correspondence, insurance certificates, and vendor contracts
- Serve as the internal point of contact for TCC's third-party filing vendor, including active oversight of a current vendor transition
- Track real estate leases company-wide and manage vendor/contractor coordination, invoices, and expense reporting
- Build and maintain SOPs and trackers so compliance status is always current and verifiable
- 2+ years of experience in compliance, operations, payroll administration, entity administration, or corporate paralegal work
- Hands-on experience with business registrations, payroll registrations, or entity filings (e.g., secretary of state filings, foreign qualifications, payroll tax account setup, multi-state compliance work)
- Demonstrated ability to manage a recurring deadline calendar across multiple entities or jurisdictions
- Comfort working with ambiguous or conflicting agency guidance
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (multi-tab trackers, filters, formulas)
- Based in or willing to be based within 30 miles of downtown Chicago
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Accounting, or Legal Studies
- Experience with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio)
- Experience with payroll/HRIS platforms (Rippling)
Location
- Chicago, IL — Hybrid. Occasional travel for company events.
- $70,000 - $85,000 Annually
- Bonus Package
- A hybrid position in the Chicagoland area. Occasional travel for company events is required.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- A dynamic and collaborative work environment.
- Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
- Short-term Disability and Life Insurance
- 401K Match
- Unlimited PTO
