Overview
Job Description
Compliance Coordinator
United Petroleum Transports / Florida Rock & Tank Lines
Location: Oklahoma City, OK (onsite)
Reports To: Director of Compliance
Department: Compliance
FLSA: Non-Exempt
The Role
Every driver on the road for UPT and FRTL represents a standard we take seriously, and this role is part of the team that keeps that standard in place. You will work alongside an experienced compliance team, learning on the job and building real expertise in DOT and FMCSA requirements. A good part of the work is on the phone and in your inbox, reaching out to drivers, dispatchers, and other contacts to gather documents, pull reports, and keep open items moving.
What You Will Own
- Audit and maintain Driver Qualification files to keep every driver legally compliant with DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Monitor compliance status across the driver base and identify lapses before they become violations
- Reach out directly to drivers, dispatchers, and fleet contacts by phone and email to gather required documentation and resolve open items
- Pull and review roadside inspection reports and MVR records, flagging anything that needs action
- Track and maintain training records and rosters for UPT and FRTL drivers
- Communicate with Independent Contractors on qualification and leasing requirements
- Support compliance audits and assist the Director of Compliance with reporting and special projects
- Cross-train with the Recruiting team to understand how driver onboarding connects to qualification
Who Thrives Here
You are precise and you follow through, and the people around you know they can count on you to show up and do what you said you would do. Detail work is not a burden for you, it is how you know the job is done right. You are comfortable on the phone with drivers, dispatchers, and other contacts, and you stay professional even when people are hard to reach or slow to respond.
This team works together and everyone carries their part. The right person for this seat takes that seriously, shows up ready every day, and understands that when one person is not fully present, everyone else feels it.
