In-office, work-from-home, or hybrid, depending on position and location.Job DetailsPrimary Purpose:This role will act as Compliance Officer for a smaller Trust Company. This role requires ability to manage process as well as efficiently translate strategic vision into actionable tasks. This person is the AML/BSL expert internally and creates proactive compliance policy and procedure to mitigate risk. This position is hybrid with some in office expectation as well as opportunity to work remotely.Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:Oversees all aspects of our compliance programManages, implements and owns all compliance solutions including updates and employee training; research and recommend changes when necessary. Additionally provides annual training to staff and board of governors relating to complianceManage new initiatives and efficiency projectsResponsible for compliance and due diligence including monthly, quarterly and annual process and creating internal audit programHas the role of AML/BSL Compliance OfficerBSA/AML institutional risk assessmentInternal controls to ensure timely compliance with regulatory changesPolicy and procedure enhancementContinuity of the BSA/AML function by inclusion in succession planningIndependent testing of the BSA/AML functionComplete annual BSA/AML training by the BoardTraining on company-specific policies, procedures and examination findingsTimely address all external testing requirements from CLACustomer Due DiligenceSAR ProgramQuarterly and annual reporting for SDDBPrepare and participate in annual auditsResponsible for continuous improvement including constantly analyzing existing processes and optimizing for accuracy and efficiencyIndependently identify priorities and opportunities for interdepartmental improvementsAbility to analyze data to help drive decision makingPreferred Qualifications and Skills:AML/BSA expertise requiredExpertise in trust compliance requiredDemonstrated ability to provide quality and proactive solutions to the businessDesire to proactively ask for and take feedback on performance and ability to implement changes as necessaryWillingness to promote to a small office environment which can, at times, include contributing in ways that may not directly corelate to the candidate’s skill set or job descriptionExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsCreative problem-solving abilityAbility to exercise professional and technical discretion on matters of significanceDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and problem solveStrong written and communication skillsMeticulous follow-up skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional attention to detailTime management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsStrong process leadership skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree preferredAt least 3 years trust compliance experience requiredInterested in hearing more?
