Description: Compliance Analyst, Licensing - for Legal and Compliance Department
The Legal and Compliance is a service-oriented organization of skilled professionals who strive to ensure the organization closely aligns with state and federal regulatory requirements in all of its business practices.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough research on licensing topics with state real estate commissions and regulatory agenciesAnalyze brokerage and individual license requirements and ensure compliance with state regulatory guidelinesMaintain, monitor, and update data in an internal licensing management system (Airtable) for individual and company license workPull and administer licensing reports for Business Lines Compliance Teams, Management Teams, and Business stakeholdersCoordinate communication with state real estate commissions, designated brokers, and internal stakeholders regarding licensing mattersComplete license verification checks with state agencies and escalate exceptions to managementReconcile expenses related to license applications, renewals, and general license maintenanceComplete administrative tasks such as ordering licensing documentation from state real estate commissionsSubmit new license, reciprocal, amendment, renewal, and surrender filings via state real estate commission portalsReview and advise licensees on requirements for new and reciprocal licenses, including broker agreement executionMonitor licensee rosters and ensure upcoming renewal and continuing education deadlines are metFacilitate and complete documentation signings with designated brokers and individual licensees during onboarding and renewalsMultitask and work independently to deliver high quality service and results in a dynamic environment
Minimum Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience handling real estate brokerage licensing, compliance, or equivalent experience in a regulated industryBachelor's Degree preferredAbility to understand the regulatory framework and industry practices applicable to real estate brokerage licensing at both the individual and entity levelExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsExperience with exposure to confidential information and an understanding of the importance of maintaining such confidentiality including legal, financial, and personal informationProven analytical ability and initiativeStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExperience in document management and electronic record keepingAbility to effectively handle shifting priorities and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced dynamic environmentExperience with state real estate commission portals, Airtable, and/or DocuSign preferredProficient within the Microsoft and Google suites
