OverviewReporting to the Compounding Lead, the Compounder is responsible for accurately weighing and/or mixing raw materials according to product specifications

What You’ll Do
- Follow all safety guidelines and be an integral part of the safety of the workplace by participating in all safety initiatives.
- Wear all appropriate PPE when working with the chemicals and equipment required for weighing and batching.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all products are consistent and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards.
- Ensure compounds are prepared in accordance to formulation and that all relevant compounding guidelines and quality standards are maintained
- Assist with deodorant fill start up time with the Production Team.
- Complete all daily lab department tasks.
- Ensure efficient startups and shutdown of the compounding tanks.
- Record and report defective, damaged, spilled, or otherwise lost materials or finished bulk product.
- Complete all documentation for ongoing batches utilizing good documentation practices.
- Be able to use, operate, and understand Batchmaster in all our required functions.
- Work with the Compounding Lead/Supervisor to find problems and their solutions.
- Perform daily cleaning and inspection checklist of equipment to prevent cross contamination
- Report equipment issues and Work with maintenance to identify any malfunctioning or damaged equipment and have it repaired or removed from service.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company and safety standards.
- Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Conduct quality control tests to verify product consistency and integrity
- Any additional responsibilities that supervision requires for the success of the department and company.
Requirements
What We Require
- High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree in a science preferred
- Excellent English written and verbal communication
- Ability to stand for a significant portion of the shift
- Ability to lift up 50 lbs regularly through the shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime and or weekend work as required by management or the production schedule
- Must be able to perform fundamental mathematical calculations
- Availability to be onsite daily with reliable attendance during work hours; must be available/reachable during off hours in case of emergency
- Consistently meet individual and team goals daily
- Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization, maintaining a positive and professional attitude
