- Performing sterilization procedures and maintaining strict sterility in medication preparation areas to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
- Accurately entering prescription orders into the pharmacy system and verifying patient information to ensure precise medication dispensing.
- Filling, labeling, and packaging prescriptions according to established protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Adhering to safety, health, and regulatory standards to maintain a compliant and clean work environment.
- Supporting the preparation of sterile medications in accordance with pharmacy standards and protocols.
- A valid Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy technician license.
- PTCB or NHA certification is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy laws, sterile techniques, and medication handling.
- Prior experience in sterile compounding is a plus, or a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
