We are seeking aComputational Mechanicsand Computer Aided DesignResearcherto join ourDesign forX (DfX) team within Research & Development. In this role, you will help shape the future of engineering design by developingAI poweredtools embedded directly intoour CAD workflow (Siemens NX), enabling engineers to create designs that areoptimizedfor performance, manufacturability, and quality before production begins.

This position sits at the intersection of computational geometry, mechanics, and artificial intelligence, translating advanced research into practical,CAD nativeengineering capabilities used at scale.

JoiningR&Dwill provide you with the opportunity to work oncutting-edgetechnologies, contribute to innovation, and collaborate with a diverse team of experts. You will play a key role in advancing our capabilities and ensuring that ourproductsare at the forefront of the industry.

What You'll Do

  • Develop computational geometry and mechanics algorithmsthat reasondirectly on CAD models to support design evaluation and optimization.

  • Research and prototypeAIassistedgenerative design workflows that combinedata drivenmethods with physics andgeometry awarereasoning.

  • BuildCAD integratedsolutions within Siemens NX to enable pushbutton analysis, design exploration, and manufacturability checks.

  • Design andvalidatemethods that balancelearning basedapproaches with deterministic evaluation, ensuring results are explainable and repeatable.

  • Collaborate withcross functionalpartners in R&D, Manufacturing,ProductEngineeringandITto transition research concepts into scalable engineering tools.

  • Communicate research outcomes through technical reports, demonstrations, and presentations to engineering and leadership audiences.
