The Opportunity
Adept Group is seeking a Computer-Aided Design Drafter (1099 Contractor) in the Portland, Oregon area! This candidate would have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in ArtiosCAD 2D and 3D and SolidWorks. This candidate would also have experience with TOPS or CAPE and possess knowledge of electronic document management systems and change control.
This is a 1099 Contractor (Independent Contractor) opportunity for 40-hours per week for 12 months. The ideal candidate would work 100% onsite in Hillsboro, OR. We are also open to local candidates in Portland, OR who are open to being hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week) in Hillsboro, OR.
Key Responsibilities:

Packaging Computer-Aided Design Drafter to support secondary and tertiary packaging component drawings within the Packaging Development team

Typical Day to Day: 
  • Creating and revising technical drawings in ArtiosCAD Enterprise and managing their revisions through Veeva and/or Webcenter 
  • Creating 3D exploded views of packaging configurations in ArtiosCAD Enterprise 3D and SolidWorks to support SOP updates 
  • Creating draft specifications and managing their revision through Veeva 
  • Designing shippers using TOPS and ArtiosCAD 
  • Creating TOPS pallet patterns 
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in ArtiosCAD 2D and 3D and SolidWorks
  • TOPS or CAPE experience
  • Knowledge of electronic document management systems and change control  
  • Packaging engineering or development experience a plus!
