Job Title: Computer Hardware / Server Test EngineerLocation: Morrisville, NCDuration: 12 monthsShort Description: Computer hardware engineer with knowledge and experience on server/computer hardware, familiar with hardware components, software and firmware installation/upgrade, handy with server setup, power & network cabling and system assembly/disassembly.Knowledge & Background required 1. EE/CE/CS education background 2. Knowledge on Server/Computer system hardware like CPU/NVME/DIMM/NIC 3. Knowledge on Server/Computer system firmware like BIOS/BMC/UEFI 4. Being able to read and modify PowerShell scriptsTop Preference 1) SIT (System Integrate Test) e.g. Power-Cycle test, Stress test, Performance test 2) Firmware test e.g. BMC, BIOS, Commodity Firmware test 3) Experience in server thermal and power performance test is a plus.Daily Routine 1. Test nodes and Environment Setup:- Power, Network connections over server nodes.- Install OS and firmware onto server nodes and make configurations as needed.- Verify test environment via remote connections, fix problems upon appearance. 2. Computer server node thermal, power and air flow testing- Run FWT test based on requirement.- Review test logs and report failures.- Compose formal reports of server performance.- Track issues and verify provided fixes/solutions as follow-ups. 3. Debug Assistance- Disassemble server nodes, replace components and assemble everything back.- Verify newly installed parts function well.
