Our client is a New York State Agency and is seeking a detail-oriented Computer Operator to join their Nursing Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing data processing equipment, preparing technical data, and ensuring document accuracy within the department.This is a fast-paced role requiring high reliability, punctuality, and the ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Primary Responsibilities
- Data & System Operations: Monitor and control electronic computer and peripheral electronic data processing equipment to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to specific operating instructions.
- Document Production: Follow and understand instructions for the development of final copy materials on specialized word processing and computer equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and correct documents to maintain high professional standards.
- Reporting & Visuals: May develop graphs, spreadsheets, charts, and web pages to support department data tracking.
- Core Competencies: Must have comprehensive knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of standard Office Suite software packages with a demonstrated ability to learn new software and systems within a reasonable timeframe.
- Holiday Work Policy: Employees will work on holidays only by explicit request of the employer and will be compensated at a straight pay rate.
- Overtime Policy: Employees will perform overtime work only at the request of the employer, which will be compensated at the approved overtime rate.
