The Opportunity:

This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DOD) organization located at the Pentagon. The Computer Support Administrator / Audio Visual Technician is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting and repairing personal computer systems, hardware, software, computer peripherals, MFD's and AV equipment. Assist employees via remote access, phone, or in person. May also mentor or train other Computer Support Administrator / Audio Visual Technicians. Candidates need excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, Video Teleconferencing systems and network connectivity.  They must be customer service-oriented, self-motivated and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources. Selected candidates may be required to provision and maintain mobile devices (NIPR, SIPR).

Responsibilities:

Responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (desktops, laptops, VDI, VTC, servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications. Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage, VTC equipment and network connectivity. Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users. Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment. Supports new infrastructure projects. Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  •             Currently hold an active adjudicated Top Secret/SCI Clearance and be able to maintain (no waiver)Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate MCSA: Windows 10/Office 365
  •             DOD 8570 IAT 2 compliance (CompTIA Security +, Equal or greater)Self motivated
  •             Able to lift at least 50 lbsExperience with the following:CUCM
  •             Cisco TMS, Switches, Routers, Meeting Management and Meeting ServerVideo Teleconferencing (VTC) systems and networking
  •             Extron Switchers and ExtendersCrestron NVX, and AMX AV systems
  •             Unimax UC Management Software

    Desired:

    ITIL v3 - Foundation
  •             Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch filesAdaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
  •             Understanding of Department of Defense Military standardsNetworking knowledge: A strong understanding of networking principles is essential for managing and integrating communication systems
  •             Troubleshooting skills: The ability to analyze issues using tools like packet capture software (e.g., Wireshark) and deciphering system traces is crucialProject management: The ability to manage projects from start to finish is often needed.
  •             Clearone CertificationBiamp Certification
  •             CTS CertificationAble to load and pull code for Crestron and AMX-
