Computer Test Technician

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Computer Test Technicians for our client’s electronic manufacturing plant in Irving, TX.  The Position will entail standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 30lbs throughout shift. Successful applicants will be very detail-oriented and able to work with little supervision. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members!  All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation DOE as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).  Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.  Currently have 1 Shift:1st Shift Monday-Friday- 9am-5pm $18.50 Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.  Responsibilities of the Test Technician: 

• Perform functional testing on laptops, desktop computers, and other electronic devices.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document hardware and software issues.
• Install or verify operating systems, drivers, and software functionality as needed.
• Conduct visual inspections for cosmetic defects or physical damage.
• Verify all ports, keyboards, touchpads, displays, cameras, speakers, and connectivity features are functioning properly.
• Follow established testing procedures and quality standards.
• Record test results accurately and update inventory or tracking systems.
• Rework or retest units after repairs when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Meet daily productivity goals while maintaining high accuracy.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to resolve product issues.
• Assist with packaging and preparing tested equipment for shipment when needed.

 Preferred Qualifications of the Test Technician  : 

• Previous experience testing computers or electronic devices preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common hardware and software problems.
• Comfortable using Windows operating systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
