Concessions Cook - Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Job Description

The Concessions Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items in a high-volume, fast-paced concession environment during events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This role plays a critical part in delivering a high-quality guest experience by ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently to Aramark standards.

This position requires strong teamwork, attention to food safety, and the ability to perform under pressure during large-scale events such as the Indianapolis 500.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items (e.g., burgers, hot dogs, tenders, fries, specialty items) according to standardized recipes and procedures

• Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control standards

• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and warmers safely and efficiently

• Work collaboratively with stand leads, cashiers, and runners to ensure smooth service flow

• Monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs to leadership

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times

• Assist with opening and closing duties including setup, breakdown, and cleaning

• Follow all Aramark policies, including uniform standards and safety procedures

• Support high-volume service periods while maintaining speed and accuracy

• Adhere to alcohol service and health department regulations when applicable

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate as needed
• Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
• Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
