Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Concrete Laborer for a job in Augusta ME. The ideal candidate will assist in various concrete construction tasks, including mixing, pouring, spreading, smoothing, and finishing concrete jobs.
Pay is $23-26 an hour DOE
Long term, year round work!
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and setup of forms and molds.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools or power equipment.
- Level and smooth concrete using screeds, trowels, floats, and other tools.
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces.
- Remove forms after concrete sets and clean work areas.
- Load and unload materials and tools from trucks.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by foreman or supervisor.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in concrete or general construction is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with finishing concrete surfaces.
- Knowledge of form setting and rebar installation.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
