Concrete Superintendent Wilmington, DE (Relocation Package Available)
A well established concrete company in Wilmington, DE is actively searching for an experienced Superintendent to join their team. The ideal Superintendent will have experience overseeing their self-performing concrete operations throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The Superintendent will have deep field knowledge and has worked with vertical, architectural and flatwork concrete construction on a variety of commercial/industrial projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
" Supervises and schedules appropriate field management and Client for each project.
" Oversees and assumes responsibility for productivity of concrete construction, efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance of the project.
" Thrive in mentor role and encourages team growth and development.
" Sets up and oversees all ongoing structural concrete trainings as needed.
" Seeks to build morale of all team members by positive reinforcement, feedback,etc.
" Meets with project superintendent prior to the beginning of a job to review scheduling, blueprints, specifications, Client requirements and other project needs.
" Prioritizes needs of projects and meets the needs according to available Client and efficient use of them.
" Maintains clear and open communication with project superintendents to make aware of current and future Client on all projects.
" Sets and enforces quality standards by conducting pre-installation conference and identifying deficiencies in a timely manner.
" Seeks to learn changes in the industry.
" Identifies schedule risks and plans of action and keeps project manager up-to-
date on potential risk exposures.
" Assists project manager to maintain 2/3 week rolling schedule to be reviewed with project superintendents, subcontractors and clients. " Coordinates and directs all heavy equipment to ensure each project can meet its needs.
" Ensures that the project is being constructed according to the master schedule and that the milestone dates are being achieved.
" Reviews weekly job cost with project management and tracks productivity compared to the budget.
" Ensures all superintendents are meeting and exceeding company safety standards.
" Identifies with superintendents and project management active and potential delays to the project and assures that these delays are being documented and communicated to the project team.
" Creates a recovery plan for project delays.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
" 10+ years of related experience working in concrete (vertical) construction projects.
