Job Description
MRI Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration and Data Management Specialist on the JETS II contract at NASA Johnson Space Center. In this role, you will support the planning, control, and delivery of technical and administrative documentation across and JETS contract for NASA programs-embedded directly with engineering teams as a key contributor to data integrity and configuration control. Your work ensures that mission-critical baselines, drawings, and deliverables remain accurate, traceable, and on schedule.
A typical day involves coordinating with engineers and project managers to manage document revisions, support change boards, and maintain configuration baselines using tools like SharePoint, Confluence, and PLM systems. You may define data standards for a new deliverable package in the morning, prepare a compliance audit report after lunch, and troubleshoot a version control issue before end of day. The work is detail-oriented, process-driven, and collaborative, with direct visibility into various NASA programs.
What We Are Looking For
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (typically required)
- Previous experience in configuration management, data management, or document control
- Familiarity with version control, change management, and document management systems
- Proficiency with tools such as SharePoint, JEDII, Confluence, PLM systems, or document control platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Preferences:
- Experience supporting technical or engineering projects
- Knowledge of industry CM/DM standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ANSI/EIA-649)
- Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and stakeholder groups
