Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys research, analysis, and problem-solving? Talis Group’s client, a well-respected law firm in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join its Business Intake and Conflicts team. This role plays a critical part in protecting the firm by identifying conflicts of interest, assessing risk, and ensuring new matters are properly reviewed and opened.
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal or legal professional who possesses strong analytical abilities, sound judgement, and a passion for working behind the scenes to support attorneys and clients.
This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, and has a salary range of $70-$90k (depending on experience), with bonus potential, full benefits and generous paid time off. A hybrid work schedule will be considered after training is completed.
Highlighted Duties:
- Conduct conflict-of-interest searches and analyze results to identify potential risks and ethical concerns.
- Review and process new business intake requests.
- Collaborate with attorneys and firm personnel to gather information necessary for opening new matters.
- Assist in the resolution and clearance of conflict issues.
- Open and maintain client and matter records within firm systems.
- Perform data entry and administrative functions related to business intake and conflicts management.
- Research complex issues and provide support on special projects.
- Assist with compliance-related documentation requests and reviews.
- Work closely with the Business Intake, Conflicts, and Billing teams to ensure seamless client service.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Prior law firm experience required.
- Experience with conflicts analysis, new business intake, legal administration, or paralegal work strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and law firm operations.
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to evaluate situations, identify potential risks, and exercise sound judgment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent computer and data-entry skills.
- Associate degree preferred; relevant law firm experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Intapp Open, 3E, electronic billing, or e-billing systems is a plus.
