Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper? Tulsa, OK
HireCall is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper to join a busy and growing team. If you have strong accounting skills, experience with Peachtree Accounting Software, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Requirements
- Required: Experience using Peachtree Accounting Software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy
- Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll processing and maintain payroll records
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper coding
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
- Maintain organized accounting records and financial files
- Assist with audits by providing requested financial information
- Support compliance with company policies, tax requirements, quarterly reporting, and accounting procedures
- Set up and maintain vendor and contractor information, including accurate 1099 records
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
