Position Summary
The Construction Coordinator supports the administration and execution of Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) projects, construction management, and program management initiatives. This role contributes across safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, procurement, and field operations, supporting projects in industries such as aviation, commercial construction, electrical transmission & distribution, manufacturing, power generation, oil & gas, water, and facilities.
The role works closely with Project Management teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project safety, quality, schedule, and cost control activities
- Assist with client relationship development and act as a liaison for proposal and project-related items
- Support execution of prime contracts, subcontractor agreements, and change orders
- Assist in developing and implementing project plans including Project Execution, Quality Assurance, Safety & Health, Procurement, Staffing, and Subcontracting Plans
- Coordinate jobsite setup, mobilization, and demobilization activities
- Assist with securing required project permits
- Support supplier and subcontractor registration, pre-qualification, and bid processes
- Assist with RFP development, bid evaluations, and scope of work documentation
- Support contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change management, and claims mitigation
- Assist with project controls, including cost reporting, scheduling, WBS development, progress tracking, and project closeout
- Prepare internal and external reports such as budgets, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and status reports
- Participate in project, corporate, and risk review meetings; document and distribute meeting minutes
- Conduct safety, quality, progress, and financial audits as required
- Support invoicing for prime contracts, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Maintain project documentation, filing systems, and turnover records
- Assist with onboarding of craft and field supervision staff
- Analyze crew rates, labor burdens, craft classifications, benefits, and labor laws
- Support staffing, estimating, forecasting, earned value, scheduling, and cost metrics
- Coordinate construction equipment to ensure adequate inventory
- Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage high workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Must meet company driving requirements
Preferred
- Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software
- Experience supporting EPC or construction management projects
- Familiarity with labor classifications, compliance, and craft progression tracking
