Build What Others Only DesignAs a Construction Design Engineer, you’ll go beyond traditional design work and play a key role in how projects actually get built. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you’ll support complex construction efforts across the Midwest, including rail transit, bridges, and industrial projects.This is a unique opportunity to work on the temporary works and construction engineering side — solving real-time challenges, supporting field execution, and seeing your designs come to life in the field.What You’ll Work OnIn this role, you’ll be involved in a wide range of construction engineering challenges, including:
- Design falsework for temporary structure support
- Design temporary bridges for construction access
- Design hydraulic systems for vertical / horizontal travel
- Design cofferdams and other soil retention systems
- Bridge analysis for construction equipment and demolition procedures
- Bridge analysis for steel/concrete beam erection stability
- Wood/steel formwork design for concrete slabs and walls
- Analysis of lifting equipment (hoists and rigging)
- Analysis and design of safety systems
- Analysis for barge stability under construction equipment loading
- Provide clear construction and shop drawings using CAD

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Interest in construction engineering, structural design, or temporary works
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
