Assistant Division Manager – Reconstruction Operations

Employment Type: Full-TimeLocation: Salem, OR
This is an in-office position. Candidates must reside in the greater Salem area or be willing to relocate.
About Us
ServiceMaster Restore is a leading disaster restoration and reconstruction company serving the greater Salem region across four locations. We help homeowners and businesses recover after fire, water, mold, storm, and other property damage. As our Reconstruction Division continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced construction leader to help oversee daily operations and support our Project Management team.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager, Commercial Project Manager, Assistant Division Manager, or Division Manager who is ready to take the next step into a broader operational leadership role.
Working alongside the Operations Manager, you'll help oversee the day-to-day operations of our Reconstruction Division, supporting Project Managers, improving processes, driving profitability, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional customer service.
This role offers a clear path toward Division Manager as our organization continues to grow.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience managing reconstruction or commercial construction projects as a Project Manager, Assistant Division Manager, Division Manager, or similar construction operations leadership role. Applicants without this experience will not be considered.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee job assignments and workload distribution across the Reconstruction Division
  • Lead weekly operational meetings with Project Managers and Estimators
  • Review project scopes, budgets, schedules, and profitability
  • Support Project Managers with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, customer concerns, and complex project issues
  • Monitor active projects for quality, schedule adherence, budget performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and division profitability
  • Track division KPIs and report performance to the Operations Manager
  • Coach, mentor, and support Project Managers and field personnel
  • Coordinate with Mitigation, Administration, Sales, and Reconstruction teams to ensure smooth project transitions
  • Serve as acting Division Manager when the Operations Manager is unavailable
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing reconstruction or commercial construction projects
  • Experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Division Manager, Division Manager, or similar construction operations leadership role
  • Proven success managing multiple construction projects from estimate through completion
  • Experience with scheduling, budgeting, job costing, subcontractor management, and customer communication
  • Strong administrative and operational management experience—not solely field supervision
  • Experience overseeing project financials, timelines, documentation, and team accountability
  • Ability to lead both Project Managers and field personnel in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows, estimating, and operational efficiency
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using construction management, scheduling, and project tracking software
Preferred
  • Restoration or insurance reconstruction experience
  • Experience using Xactimate or similar construction estimating software
  • Previous experience overseeing departmental operations or multiple Project Managers
