Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer to manage construction engineering projects and oversee inspectors and materials testing technicians. This position will serve as project manager for projects from scoping and preconstruction through active construction and final closeout.

Travel and on-site work in varying terrain and weather conditions are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage roadway, bridge, and infrastructure construction projects.
  • Oversee inspectors and materials testing technicians.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support preconstruction, construction administration, documentation, and project closeout.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, schedules, and compliance.
  • Travel throughout Nebraska and South Dakota as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Active P.E. registration.
  • 5+ years of construction engineering experience.
  • Roadway and bridge construction experience.
  • Federal-aid project experience required.
  • Strong experience with AASHTOWare Project.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel and work in the field as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Municipal construction experience.
  • Experience with water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer projects.
