Job Description
Reputable Chicago-based firm is hiring a Construction Engineer!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee inspection of local agencyconstruction projects (roadway/bridge improvements using local, state, andfederal funding)
- Prepare all construction documentation(per IDOT BLR&S requirements using CMMS, or similar detailed local agencyrequired documentation)
- Measure/calculate pay item quantities
- Prepare contractor pay applications
- Oversee preparation of constructionrecord drawings
- Communicate daily/weekly with clients
- Prepare for and facilitate pre construction meetings
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering orConstruction Management
- 5+ years of construction experience
- PE License
- Certified in IDOT’s Documentation ofContract Quantities
- MicroStation experience preferred
Salaryis commensurate with experience.
