Have you spent your career helping construction companies improve financial operations through ERP technology? Do you understand job costing, retainage, subcontractor management, project billing and the unique challenges construction organizations face?
We are seeking a Construction ERP Implementation Consultant to lead software implementations for construction-focused clients across North America. This is a highly client-facing consulting role where you will guide organizations through discovery, solution design, configuration, training, testing and go-live activities while serving as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, solving business challenges and helping organizations improve visibility, efficiency and decision-making through technology. This role is remote with low travel (less than 20%).
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end ERP implementations for construction industry clients
Facilitate discovery sessions and gather business requirements
Analyze existing workflows and identify process improvement opportunities
Design and configure ERP solutions based on customer needs
Conduct fit/gap analysis and recommend best-practice approaches
Lead client training sessions and knowledge transfer activities
Support data migration, testing, user acceptance activities and go-live events
Advise clients on construction accounting and operational workflows
Collaborate with project managers, solution architects and technical teams throughout implementations
Support integrations with third-party business applications
Troubleshoot application issues and assist clients with post-go-live adoption
Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, including accounting, operations and executive leadership teams
Contribute to internal process improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Stay current on industry trends, ERP capabilities and construction best practices
Qualifications
Experience working within the construction industry, either as a consultant or end user
Experience implementing, supporting or administering ERP solutions for construction organizations
Strong understanding of construction accounting and project-based financial management
Familiarity with job costing, retainage, subcontractor management, commitments, change orders, progress billing and project reporting
Experience leading ERP discovery sessions and gathering business requirements
Ability to translate business processes into system solutions
Strong communication, presentation and client-facing consulting skills
Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented consulting environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Sage Intacct Construction
Experience participating in multiple ERP implementations
Previous consulting experience within an ERP consulting, software implementation or professional services environment
Experience with construction-focused ERP solutions and technologies
Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, Information Systems or related educational background
