Your Opportunity + Impact

LDG is seeking an experienced Transportation Construction Inspector to support structural inspection activities on Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission projects, including ongoing work on the Mon-Fayette Expressway. This role will focus on field inspection of bridges and related structures, ensuring contractor compliance with PTC specifications, safety standards, and project documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspects, observes, and documents construction activities for Transportation and /or Civil projects.
  • Uses various computer software programs to document observations and creates inspection reports.
  • Continuously monitors work of team to ensure timely completion of project.
  • Interacts in a professional manner with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties on a regular basis.
  • Communicates information, responds to inquiries, and helps resolve field issues to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining required certifications.
  • Utilizes technical references appropriately for the inspection of structural, concrete, earthwork, building, and mechanical components.

Education and Experience

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Prior Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) construction inspection experience is required.
  • Licensures/Certifications: NICET Level II or higher in Highway Construction, NECEPT Bituminous Field & Concrete, and ACI preferred. Must possess valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in CDS NeXtGen or Kahua software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
