Job Description

Job Title: Construction Manager 5 Location: Indianapolis, IN Salary Range: $80/hr to $100/hr on W2

Introduction

The Construction Manager 5 will serve as the on-site owner's representative responsible for overseeing mass grading and early civil works at the LPO campus. The role ensures that the work is executed in full compliance with contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, permits, and Client Data Center Development requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

10 years of experience in heavy civil/earthwork construction, preferably on large, fast-track or mission-critical projects
Strong understanding of mass grading operations, geotechnical engineering principles, and stormwater and erosion control
Proven experience acting as Owner’s Representative or Construction Manager overseeing a self-performing GC
Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports
Strong documentation, communication, and contractor management skills
Prior work experience in the client's industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Midwest soil and weather impacts
Familiarity with BlueBeam software
Experience with environmental compliance and safety standards enforcement

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Oversee mass grading, earthwork, erosion control, and site preparation activities
Monitor grading limits, elevations, cut/fill balance, and sequencing
Coordinate with geotechnical testing agencies
Review and monitor earthwork schedule and daily work plans
Enforce compliance with safety standards and environmental restrictions
Provide clear, concise reporting to leadership on progress, quality, and safety issues
Lead or participate in daily huddles, weekly progress meetings, and pre-task planning
