SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Manager to join our in-house team specializing in apartment interior remodeling. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in managing renovations, remodeling, or property maintenance who take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Each day presents unique challenges, requiring the ability to prioritize, multitask, think strategically, take initiative, and apply a diverse set of skills. Whether you have 5-7 years of direct remodeling experience or 10+ years in property maintenance, this is a great opportunity to expand your skills in a stable but rapidly growing company!
This is a REMOTE role that must ideally reside in Honolulu, HI or the surrounding metroplex.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform hands-on renovation tasks, including demolition, cabinet installation, door hardware replacement, drywall work, and finish carpentry.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee multiple interior renovation projects, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
- Participate in project meetings with on-site team and any other relevant parties at frequent intervals to discuss problems, progress, and coordination of work.
- Collaborate with property managers, vendors, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure material availability and project alignment.
- Conduct quality control checks on completed tasks, ensuring adherence to project plans and company standards.
- Generate reports, track project progress, and communicate key updates to senior leadership.
- Managing the procurement of all construction materials and supplies according to project specifications and budgets.
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and optimize labor and material use for efficiency.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required; college and/or trade school preferred.
- 5+ years' experience working in interior residential construction or related field.
- Valid driver's license ability to travel to multiple sites required.
- Ability to read blueprints, use a tape measure accurately, and perform basic math calculations (including fractions and decimals).
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and safely.
- Ability to make informed decisions on minor issues within company policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to safe work procedures in all environments.
- This position requires regular driving to multiple sites. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, have reliable transportation, and be able to operate a motor vehicle safely as part of their job duties. While reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with the ADA, the ability to perform essential driving duties is a critical job requirement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role involves working in a variety of settings, primarily within residential units undergoing renovation. This may include exposure to dust, debris, noise, and varying temperatures. The work may be performed both indoors and occasionally outdoors. Travel between sites is required. Employees will interact with other contractors, property management staff, and potentially residents. Adherence to safety protocols is always essential.

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Lifting and carrying materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Use of hand and power tools, requiring manual dexterity and grip strength.
- Climbing ladders or stairs.
- Visual acuity to read blueprints, measurements, and instructions.
- Ability to work in various positions, including awkward or confined spaces.
- Tolerance of typical construction site conditions (dust, noise, etc.).
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and verification of employment, education, and other credentials relevant to the position.
COMPENSATION
Pay may vary by location. The range for this role in this market is $43/hr- $52/hr plus bonus. Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to, the relevant market and the skill, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
