GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Construction Project Manager will actively oversee and direct all phases of construction projects, including but not limited to schedule, budget, management of vendors and payment for services rendered, as well as on time and on budget delivery of Murphy USA retail projects. This position will manage 12-14 projects per year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage field construction personnel, quality of construction and ability to meet construction schedules to ensure project effectiveness and efficiency.
Complete site inspection of construction projects to ensure quality of work.
Assist with building design to encourage cost savings and efficient construction.
Manage construction personnel to reduce turnover and increase project engagement.
Maintain project schedules and construction budgets to ensure on time and on budget delivery of projects.
Interact with co-workers, construction personnel, vendors, and AHJ to ensure on time completion of projects.
Report to other department heads to ensure all functional area have updates building schedules and designs to meet the needs of the business.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 7 years related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
