Job Description

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies.

We are seeking experienced Construction Project Development Managers to support the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Facilities Services Division on one of the nation's largest K-12 capital improvement programs.

As a Construction Project Development Manager, you will oversee multiple new construction and modernization projects during the planning and pre-construction phases. You will be responsible for project scope, schedule, budget, consultant management, and coordination with internal departments and outside agencies to help ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple school construction and modernization projects during planning and pre-construction.
  • Lead project scope, schedule, budget, and overall project success.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Review project progress, identify risks, and develop solutions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Review consultant contracts, scopes of work, fees, and payment applications.
  • Provide leadership to Assistant Facility Development Managers, Design Managers, and design consultants.
  • Coordinate with utility companies, government agencies, environmental groups, and District departments.
  • Support procurement activities, bid planning, contract administration, cost control, quality management, and dispute resolution.
  • Prepare project reports and present project updates to executive leadership and Board representatives.
  • Recommend improvements to project procedures and internal processes.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing the planning, design, construction, and coordination of capital improvement projects.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in one of the following:

  • Architecture
  • Engineering
  • Construction Management

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:

  • Public agency capital improvement projects
  • School, higher education, healthcare, airport, or other large public facilities
  • New construction and modernization programs
  • Public procurement and project delivery methods
  • CEQA and agency approvals
  • CHPS projects
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Formal Construction Partnering
  • Community engagement and stakeholder coordination

Preferred licenses or certifications include:

  • California Registered Architect
  • California Professional Engineer
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • LEED Accredited Professional
