Tulsa, OK / Project-Site Based
Location: Tulsa / project-site-basedJob Type: Full-TimePay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, with overtime as neededExpected Hours: 40–60 per week

A Note on the Title

In the construction industry, this position is widely known as a Project Engineer — the person who serves as the day-to-day coordinator, administrator, and liaison who keeps a project moving from plans to closeout. It is the title candidates search for, and the title that best reflects the scope of the work.AIMRIGHT is an engineering firm staffed by registered civil and geotechnical engineers. To be clear about the role: this is a project coordination position. It does not require licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE), does not perform engineering design, and does not represent the holder as a licensed engineer. We use the Project Engineer title because it accurately describes the coordination scope and matches how the industry — and the professionals we are hiring — describe this work.

Job Description

AIMRIGHT Testing & Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Project Coordinator) to join our Tulsa / project operations team. This is a step up from an entry-level coordinator role — we are hiring a credentialed, experienced professional who can own project documentation and coordination with minimal oversight and bring order to fast-moving, active project sites. The Project Engineer serves as the day-to-day coordinator, administrator, and liaison between the client, site leadership, and operations leadership to make sure projects proceed safely, accurately, and smoothly. This role owns the elements of a project that carry it from plans to closeout — including document control, submittal and RFI tracking, billing and report flow, client administration, and support of field coordination — so that field leaders can stay focused on execution.

Why This Role Exists

AIMRIGHT's project teams move fast. On active jobs, field execution can break down when documentation is outdated, billing isn't submitted, reports lag behind, or client requests come in from multiple directions. This role exists to bring order, responsiveness, and consistency to that environment. The Project Engineer keeps the operation organized by maintaining current project documentation, making sure testing and billing activity is captured, supporting report flow, and managing client-facing administrative requests. This isn't just admin support — this is project execution infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day coordinator and administrator for active projects, acting as the liaison between site leadership, operations leadership, and clients to keep work moving safely, accurately, and smoothly.
  • Own and maintain project folders and job files so current drawings, plan sheets, RFIs, submittals, and reports are organized and up to date across internal systems and client portals.
  • Coordinate billing and reporting flow — ensure testing performed, e-tickets, reports, and billing inputs are captured, reviewed for consistency and completeness, and turned in on time.
  • Manage incoming client and project requests; track submissions, follow-ups, and duplicate asks.
  • Monitor project administrative metrics such as labor multiplier anomalies and raise flags to site leads when something appears off.
  • Support site and field leadership by handling detail-heavy coordination work so field leaders can stay focused on execution.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned, relevant to the achievement of the position's and team's objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related degree program, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be proficient with a variety of related computer software applications including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word), PDF and estimating and document programs.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with AIMRIGHT policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction industry in a related role — project engineering, project coordination, construction administration, dispatch, operations support, or materials testing support.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and document control.
  • Experience working in client portals / document management systems.
  • Construction materials testing experience is helpful but not required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, plus overtime opportunities.
  • Benefits Package: medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; professional development assistance.
  • Paid training & career advancement opportunities.
  • Company vehicle may be provided based on role needs.
  • Stable, growing company with a family-oriented culture.

Physical Requirements

A portion of work is performed in a professional office environment with frequent presence in the work areas of active AIMRIGHT project and construction sites (where wearing personal protective equipment is required) and within site office facilities. A component of the role is stationary, often standing or sitting for long periods of time. Utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers. Requires communication with internal and external contacts, including speaking and hearing. May occasionally push, pull, or lift up to 25 lbs.

Travel Requirements

All AIMRIGHT positions require some level of driving. This role is Tulsa / project-site based and travels between the office and active project sites as needed.

Work Schedule
