Construction Project Engineer

Impact Recruitment is looking for a Project Engineer with experience on Commercial Construction projects including Institutional, Industrial, Education, Retail/Mixed use, and Historical Restoration, in addition to high-end Residential Homes in the Salt Lake City, UT and surrounding areas. Our client is a very well-established General Contracting company that also provides Construction Management, and Design-Build Services. They combine an old-fashioned work ethic with the latest building information systems to provide a consistent level of craftsmanship and quality on every project. They pride ourselves on our attention to safety, detail, quality, and level of commitment to get the project done. Responsibilities Include:

• Perform quantity take-offs of plans for estimating purposes
• Procure quotes from vendors/subcontractors as needed
• Attending pre-bid meetings
• Turning in bids
• Handle the submission of Submittals, RFIs, Change Order Requests (CORs) to the client
• Ensure that the Field Staff have current copies of all necessary paperwork
• Create and Manage Physical and Electronic Job Book from startup to close out
• Interface with Field Staff and coordinate material orders and deliveries
• Schedule work (with Field Staff input) for internal and external schedules
• Coordinate Resource requirements to correct department
• Track and code expenses on the job
• Track productivity against items of work to identify issues or opportunities
• Interface/Meet with clients to address their questions/concerns/requirements
• Visit active job sites to get a more complete understanding of the work
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
• Education experience is an asset

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science - Construction Management or related field. 
• FE Licensure, Leed AP, OSHA 10/30 Trainings a plus. 
• Commercial, Heavy Civil, Hospitality, Retail, Industrial Project Experience
