CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP
During this internship, you will have the opportunity to partner with experienced structural steel Project Managers & Estimators to learn the process from bidding to project completion. After observing and engaging with department team members across a variety of tasks, interns will be assigned to a focused project. Learning areas will include:
- Coordinating with Estimators to prepare detailed pricing estimates for new projects, add-on work, or change orders
- Reviewing project schedules, sequencing plans, and logistics plans
- Reading specifications and blueprints to determine locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
- Maintaining positive client relationships
- Coordinating field quality control reporting and survey coordination
- Communicating and coordinating with other project contractors to maintain schedule, delivery of materials, and mitigate design conflicts
REQUIREMENTS
- Rising sophomore, junior, or senior in an undergraduate program such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related academic majors
- Strong software skills including Microsoft Office
- Availability for a full-time schedule during the summer season
- Availability for travel to job sites within the region
- Ability to follow safety requirements and uphold Kinsley Steel's safety values
