CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP

During this internship, you will have the opportunity to partner with experienced structural steel Project Managers & Estimators to learn the process from bidding to project completion. After observing and engaging with department team members across a variety of tasks, interns will be assigned to a focused project. Learning areas will include:

Coordinating with Estimators to prepare detailed pricing estimates for new projects, add-on work, or change orders
Reviewing project schedules, sequencing plans, and logistics plans
Reading specifications and blueprints to determine locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
Maintaining positive client relationships
Coordinating field quality control reporting and survey coordination
Communicating and coordinating with other project contractors to maintain schedule, delivery of materials, and mitigate design conflicts

REQUIREMENTS

Rising sophomore, junior, or senior in an undergraduate program such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related academic majors
Strong software skills including Microsoft Office
Availability for a full-time schedule during the summer season
Availability for travel to job sites within the region
Ability to follow safety requirements and uphold Kinsley Steel's safety values
