We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a specialty contractor providing earthwork and site preparation services in the Midwest. This position oversees excavation and grading projects from pre-construction through closeout, managing schedules, budgets, job costs, and field coordination to deliver high-quality work for commercial and large-scale developments. The role requires strong field knowledge, leadership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Base salary $100,000 – $130,000 depending on experience, with performance-based bonus opportunity
Company truck provided

Full-time, on-site at projects in the Omaha, NE / Council Bluffs, IA metro area

Responsibilities

Manage site preparation and earthwork projects from startup to closeout
Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and field teams
Review plans, specifications, and scope of work
Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
Track job costs, production rates, and change orders
Communicate with owners, general contractors, inspectors, and field staff
Ensure safe operations and OSHA compliance
Conduct site visits and progress meetings
Resolve field issues efficiently

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, Construction Management (preferred, not required)
3+ years project management or project engineer experience in grading, excavation, utilities, or site development
Strong understanding of earthwork operations, quantities, and production
Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
Experience with scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and estimating
Proficient with Excel and construction software
Strong organizational and communication skills
