Job Description
Construction Project Manager- Construction- Base Salary to 180k/year- Charlotte, NC
- Our client is a vertically integrated real estate and construction company recognized nationally as a Top Employer in Multifamily. They develop, build, and property manage large-scale, ground-up multifamily projects from 35 – 55M. They are currently looking for a Construction Project Manager to join their team to manage commercial and multifamily construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor master project schedules in partnership with the Lead Superintendent
- Identify risks early and remove roadblocks before they impact progress
- Support field execution from early site work through turnover
- Manage project budgets, buyouts, and change orders
- Review subcontractor scope coverage and negotiate reasonable costs
- Track financial performance and maintain cost controls across assigned projects
- Travel to active jobsites to support and align field leadership
- Partner with Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents to maintain accountability and momentum
- Mentor developing field leaders and reinforce standards
- Manage RFIs and submittals through Procore
- Interface with architects, engineers, inspectors, ownership, and internal teams
- Ensure subcontractor insurance compliance and contract alignment
- Support quality control standards across field teams
- Reinforce safety expectations and OSHA compliance
Qualifications:
- 3+ years managing ground-up multifamily or commercial construction projects
- Experience supporting field superintendents on large-scale projects (preferably $20M+)
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and change orders
- Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft-based systems
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (not required with relevant experience).
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 125k- 180k/year range
- Benefits
- 10% bonus on annual salary after first year
