Consistently ranked among the nation's top firms, we take pride in solving complex challenges with forward-thinking solutions.

About Atlanta:

Our Atlanta office serves as a core regional hub for BRPH's architecture, engineering, and interior design team. Our team delivers creative, integrated solutions across markets, including commercial, education, hospitality, mission‑critical, and corporate facilities. As an employee‑owned firm, we foster a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment where engineers, architects, designers, and project management professionals come together to solve complex challenges and help clients realize ambitious visions. Please note, most work for this role will be located in Marietta, GA.

SUMMARY:

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the successful execution of a highly secure, technically complex SCIF retrofit project within an active government aircraft manufacturing facility. The Construction Project Manager is accountable for achieving the project's scope, schedule, financial, quality, safety, and security requirements. Primary responsibilities include managing the project team and planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting all activities associated with this work.

This role requires a senior-level construction professional with experience delivering projects in classified or controlled-access environments, working with highly technical government or defense clients, and executing retrofit construction within operational facilities. Compliance with corporate Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), Construction Quality Control, and client security requirements is mandatory.

The Construction Project Manager shall have experience managing at-risk construction projects typically ranging from $10M to $50M in value. This position is based in Marietta, GA. Limited travel may be required based on project needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage CMAR and/or design-build projects involving SCIF retrofit work within an active government aircraft manufacturing facility.
  • Plan, direct, and control all phases of the project lifecycle including preconstruction, design coordination, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Coordinate closely with client representatives, security personnel, IT/security integrators, designers, and field leadership to ensure compliance with secure facility requirements and access controls.
  • Prepare baseline performance plans including project budgets, schedules, milestone dates, cash flow projections, and risk registers.
  • Manage project financial performance including monthly forecasting, cost tracking, commitment management, and change order control. Responsible for delivering the project at or above as-bid gross margin.
  • Ensure strict compliance with corporate HSE policies, project-specific safety plans, and client safety requirements, maintaining a zero-tolerance jobsite environment.
  • Ensure quality performance by enforcing adherence to contract documents, approved designs, specifications, and commissioning requirements, particularly for MEP, low-voltage, and secure infrastructure systems.
  • Manage prequalification, selection, contracting, and oversight of subcontractors and vendors operating in restricted-access and badge-controlled environments.
  • Lead proactive risk identification and mitigation related to security constraints, phasing, legacy conditions, constructability, and operational impacts.
  • Manage permitting, inspections, and regulatory coordination as required for government and secure facilities.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready project documentation consistent with government and defense contractor standards.
  • Manage and mentor project team members and proactively resolve conflicts to support disciplined execution.
  • Foster a partnering environment with Owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and design professionals to resolve RFIs, change management, and field issues efficiently.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field required. A combination of equivalent experience with a PMP or CCM certification may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of construction management experience, with at least 5 years serving as a Project Manager on technically complex projects.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects for government, defense, or aerospace manufacturing clients. Direct experience with SCIF projects or secure/controlled-access facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of retrofit construction, MEP systems, power redundancy, low-voltage systems, and secure IT infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in CPM scheduling, earned value management, cost control, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Experience managing general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors under strict security and access constraints.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to navigate and move around the construction site, including walking, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and standing for extended periods on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle, maintain focus under stressful conditions, and make timely decisions.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and enforce safety protocols on the construction site.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
