Construction Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee retail construction projects throughout NYC. The ideal candidate has a strong background in retail build‑outs, with high‑end luxury retail experience strongly preferred, and is comfortable managing projects in fast‑paced, design‑driven, and schedule‑sensitive environments. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans

Lead subcontractor buyout, coordination, and ongoing performance management

Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy and constructability

Coordinate with NYC DOB, expediters, and inspectors to ensure compliance with codes and permits

Oversee site logistics, sequencing, and safety in occupied and high‑traffic retail environments

Track costs, change orders, and project financials to ensure profitability

Maintain a high level of quality control consistent with luxury brand standards

Demonstrated experience managing retail construction projects in NYCStrong knowledge of interior build‑outs, storefronts, millwork, and MEP coordination

Working knowledge of NYC building codes, DOB processes, and union environments

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)Preferred QualificationsExperience with high‑end or luxury retail brands (fashion, jewelry, hospitality, flagship spaces)Experience working with high‑profile designers and architects
