Commercial Construction Project Management & General Contracting Experience Required

Proset Construction is seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead high end custom home construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Position Qualifications :
A successful Project Manager should possess a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with 4–6+ years of experience managing complex commercial construction projects for a professional general contractor or construction management firm. Candidates should have demonstrated success overseeing all phases of project delivery, including financial management, schedule performance, project controls, client relations, and overall project execution. The role requires strong knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, estimating, and construction means and methods, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation, and business management skills are essential. Proficiency in developing and maintaining detailed Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project is required, along with strong experience using Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software. A thorough understanding of construction safety regulations, quality control practices, and industry best practices is expected, with OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Position Summary:
A Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, with full accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. This role serves as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and successful project outcomes. The Project Manager provides leadership and oversight to project teams, drives decision-making, manages project risks, and leads project meetings to maintain progress and accountability. Key responsibilities include overseeing preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, procurement strategies, budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, cost control, forecasting, change management, and financial reporting. The position requires expertise in managing RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Project Manager is responsible for enforcing safety standards, ensuring quality throughout all project phases, leading project closeout activities, and maintaining accountability for overall project performance, profitability, and operational success. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support company objectives and project execution.  At Proset Construction, we believe performance and accountability should be recognized and rewarded. While all individuals in this role hold the title of Project Manager, compensation is based on demonstrated capabilities, responsibilities, and results. As team members grow their skills, leadership, and impact within the organization, opportunities for advancement and increased compensation are available.
