Job Summary

Creative Form Development (CFD) is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to oversee all phases of large-scale construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates with public-sector experience.

The Construction Project Manager / Senior Project Manager will be responsible for project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client relationships, documentation, and overall project execution while ensuring quality, safety, and contract compliance.

This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders, identify and mitigate project risks, manage project teams, and drive successful outcomes in fast-paced construction environments. The role will report directly to a Project Executive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead construction projects through construction, commissioning, and final closeout.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, work plans, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate project activities with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Lead and manage project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain schedule and budget objectives.

  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout requirements.

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and cost forecasts.

  • Review and negotiate subcontractor proposals and change orders.

  • Track project costs, commitments, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, requisitions, budget updates, and forecasts.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and objectives.

  • Coordinate field operations with superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams.

  • Help monitor quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.

  • Conduct site visits and project inspections to verify progress and quality standards.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks before they impact schedule, budget, or quality.

  • Resolve project challenges, conflicts, and stakeholder concerns in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout all phases of the project.

  • Ensure projects comply with applicable contracts, specifications, regulations, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within institutional, healthcare, educational, infrastructure, and/or public-sector construction.

  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a project team on large-scale construction projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, cost management, and contract administration.

  • Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and multiple project stakeholders.

  • OSHA 30 certification required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Procore or similar construction project management software.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.

  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality and client satisfaction.

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Public-sector construction project experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience managing construction projects valued at $50 million or greater.

  • Experience with institutional, healthcare, educational, and/or infrastructure projects.

  • Knowledge of New York City construction practices, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Previous experience overseeing large-scale projects from construction through commissioning and closeout.

Work Environment / Schedule

  • Full-time position.

  • In-person work environment based in New York, NY.

  • Regular coordination with clients, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, superintendents, and internal project teams.

  • Site visits and project inspections will be required based on project needs.

  • Position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment.
