Job Description
Construction Project Manager Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing subcontractors, schedules, and budgets in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience at a general contractor and thrives in a role with high impact, responsibility, and opportunity for long-term career growth.
Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle project delivery, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Oversee jobsite operations to ensure safety compliance, quality assurance, and adherence to project timelines.
- Serve as the main point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Review and approve project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
- Track project performance metrics and proactively mitigate risks or delays.
- Coordinate with estimators and preconstruction teams to support project handoff and value engineering.
- Participate in regular site visits, subcontractor meetings, and client updates to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and closeout documentation.
Construction Project Manager Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction at a general contractor.
- Bachelor"s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field highly preferred.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and project scheduling software.
