Construction Quality Control Supervisor
Phoenix, AZ | Direct Hire | $84,000 - $90,000/yr
A global industry-leading company is seeking a Construction Quality Control Supervisor to support site operations and ensure the highest standards of construction quality and compliance. This role plays a critical part in overseeing inspection readiness, monitoring installation accuracy, and coordinating with subcontractors and third-party inspectors to maintain project integrity and regulatory compliance.
Construction Quality Control Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site quality control activities in coordination with the Site Manager
- Plan and coordinate site facilities, safety equipment, and temporary installations in compliance with U.S. regulations and client requirements
- Support delivery and installation planning of SKID units and major equipment to ensure quality standards are met
- Prepare for and coordinate third-party inspections, accompany inspectors, and provide required documentation
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure inspection readiness and resolve quality-related issues
- Review site progress against project schedules and implement corrective actions when needed
- Monitor construction activities using P&ID and piping drawings; verify installations and report discrepancies
- Maintain and manage quality documentation, inspection records, and non-conformance reports
- Communicate quality expectations clearly during meetings with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Prepare weekly reports outlining progress, risks, and quality concerns
Construction Quality Control Supervisor Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in construction quality control or inspection
- Experience in industrial facilities, water treatment systems, or large-scale piping projects preferred
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including P&IDs and piping diagrams
- Working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 experience preferred)
- Experience conducting inspections and managing non-conformance documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
Certifications & Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- OSHA 30 (Construction) and OSHA 510 required or willingness to obtain
- Quality certifications (CQE, ISO Internal Auditor, or similar) preferred
- Additional safety certifications (HAZWOPER, NFPA 70E, etc.) preferred
- Willingness to obtain Arizona aerial lift certification if not already held
Work Environment & Travel:
- On-site at the project office, 5 days per week
- Approximately 10% travel to project sites outside Arizona
