Residential Construction Remodeling Assistant Central Ohio — primarily Northwest Columbus, Downtown Columbus, and New AlbanySchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PMPay Rate: $20.00–$35.00/hr, based on experienceJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Remodeling Assistant with 10+ years of residential construction and remodeling experience. This hands-on position will assist with a variety of home improvement projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, flooring, drywall, and carpentry.Job Duties
- Assist with framing, drywall, painting, flooring, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
- Support lead carpenter and owner with remodeling projects
- Read and follow blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Perform demolition, site preparation, and cleanup
- Troubleshoot construction issues and assist with solutions
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and follow safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
- Keep job sites clean and organized
- Minimum 10 years of residential construction/remodeling experience
- Experience with multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall, flooring, and painting
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check
- Professional appearance and strong customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor
- Must follow the company's no-smoking policy at job sites
