Job Description
Join a leading national construction management firm renowned for delivering iconic projects through innovative planning and collaboration. This position is pivotal in orchestrating the scheduling of large, sophisticated construction endeavors. In collaboration with various departments, you will ensure the smooth execution of projects by establishing and overseeing robust project timelines.
In this role, you will:
- Create and sustain comprehensive Critical Path Method schedules for expansive construction projects. - Lead a team of schedulers and oversee project timeline functions. - Track project progress, update schedules monthly with detailed narratives, and generate forecasts. - Work hand-in-hand with Preconstruction, Procurement, Construction, and Digital Modeling teams. - Integrate advanced BIM/4D modeling and logistical planning into the timelines. - Employ Last Planner System methods to enhance project workflows. - Conduct thorough schedule audits and utilize software tools for risk analysis. - Develop cost-effective and resource-optimized schedules, performing value analysis for project efficiency. - Prepare strategies for schedule recovery and project acceleration. - Contribute to Business Development by providing scheduling expertise for proposals. - Offer training and expert guidance on scheduling tools and practices. - Act as a strategic consultant for clients, providing insights on planning and scheduling. - Maintain databases of historical scheduling data and production rates for future reference.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. - Over 8 years of experience in construction scheduling. - Proven experience in managing large-scale projects valued at $100M or more. - Expertise in using Oracle Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software. - Proficiency in diagnostic tools like Acumen Fuse for schedule comparisons. - In-depth understanding of contract documents and construction workflows. - Familiarity with lean construction methodologies and risk management in scheduling. - Exceptional skills in leading teams, facilitating negotiations, and performing analytical assessments. - Capacity to juggle multiple priorities and lead scheduling teams efficiently.
Work Environment:
This position requires regular presence at dynamic construction sites and regular interaction in office settings. Physical demands include climbing, traversing active job sites, and occasionally carrying weights of up to 25 pounds. Some travel may be necessary.
