The Role:
As a Construction Services Estimating Intern, you will:
- Assist with bid solicitation, including organizing documents, engaging trade partners, and attending pre-bid meetings.
- Generate bid listings, quantity takeoffs, construction schedules, and detailed estimate reports.
- Contribute to bid day efforts by evaluating bids and identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
- Participate in job cost setups, project execution planning, and check-ins with on-site field teams.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capability to lead by example.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a self-starter mentality.
- A strong work ethic with dedication to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to see the big picture while focusing on details.
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new software.
- Must be able to work full-time.
