Overview
Job Description
- Manage and coordinate all day-to-day construction field operations.
- Supervise subcontractors, trade crews, and field personnel to ensure work complies with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules while proactively identifying and resolving delays.
- Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, workmanship, project progress, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment utilization, and workforce scheduling to maintain project efficiency.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, field logs, progress updates, and project documentation.
- Partner with Project Managers to manage schedules, budgets, change orders, and project milestones.
- Resolve field issues, conflicts, RFIs, and unforeseen construction challenges efficiently.
- Oversee Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes to ensure work meets project requirements.
- Coordinate inspections with owners, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
- Manage project punch lists, final inspections, and project closeout activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, local regulations, and company standards.
- Minimum 5 years of construction field supervision experience on commercial, industrial, or similar construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, materials, and applicable building codes.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multiple construction trades simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience conducting site inspections, QA/QC activities, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar scheduling and project management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex commercial or industrial construction projects.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Experience with project scheduling, resource planning, and project closeout processes.
- Ability to work on active construction sites in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, navigate uneven terrain, and perform site inspections throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Frequent mobility across active construction sites
