About Us:BDI Marine Contractors is a growing, family-owned marine construction company specializing in marine and heavy civil construction. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a hands-on Superintendent to help lead our field operations and keep projects running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Position Overview:The Superintendent is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations on construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to coordinate crews, subcontractors, and materials while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all on-site construction activities from start to completion
Manage and supervise field crews and subcontractors
Coordinate schedules, deliveries, and equipment
Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards
Conduct daily reports, job logs, and progress tracking
Communicate regularly with project managers and office staff
Identify and resolve issues in the field quickly and efficiently
Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project specifications

Requirements:

3+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in construction (marine experience preferred but not required)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel for projects if needed

Preferred Experience:

Marine construction (docks, seawalls, pile driving)
Heavy equipment operation
Working around water and barges
